Introduction
Camp FleetWood will be offered from August 9th – 13th at Rattlesnake Point in Milton, Ontario for children ages 9-12. Rattlesnake Point is part of Ontario’s Niagara Escarpment and offers more than 40 climbs that range in level of difficulty. It offers great hiking and is also home to numerous wildlife and plant life. For information about Rattlesnake Point please see our link below.

History
As three practising teachers in the Peel School District, it has always been our passion and dream to one day operate an outdoor camp for children. As educators, we believe in the importance of outdoor education in the development of the whole child. In combining our areas of expertise in physical education, the arts and sciences, we present:

Goal
Our goal is to provide the ultimate outdoor education experience for children aged 9-12.

The Directors

 


 

Kelly – is extremely excited about Camp FleetWood! With a B.A. in theatre, as a French Immersion Teacher and as an outdoor enthusiast, Kelly is dedicated to educating youth about the great outdoors and what Milton, Ontario has to offer. As a trained rock climbing instructor, she plans on creating a safe and inclusive environment for all her campers; all the while promoting self-confidence and physical activity. Belay on! See you out at the rock face!









Jennifer – has been a French Immersion Teacher in Ontario for 6 years. With a background in athletics and outdoor education, Jennifer has seen the profound and positive impact that alternative educational experiences, such as Camp FleetWood, can offer. With National Coaching Certificate Levels I and II, in addition to Instructor certification through the Canadian Yachting Association, Jennifer has enjoyed working with children of all ages in a variety of outdoor settings for many years. Jennifer is an enthusiastic artist, who enjoys implementing creative opportunities wherever possible in her teaching. Through Camp FleetWood, she looks forward to combining her creative flair and passion for physical activity.

 

 

 



Erin – With a passion for the outdoors, extreme sports and healthy living, Erin combines a B.Ed. with a Foundations training in Yoga for Kids, qualifications as a Fitness Instructor and a French language Specialist. Having been surrounded by music on Canada’s East Coast for most of her life, Erin brings her love of music to the outdoors. Get ready to turn over rocks, stretch your limbs, rock out with nature and reach for the top! This outdoor enthusiast takes fun to the EXTREME!

(Early drop off and/or late pick-up is available for an additional charge of 10.00 per day)
Cost: 423.00 + tax

How to register your child: Contact Erin Wilson Via email (see below), Erin can answer any question you may have regarding Camp FleetWood, she will also send you a registration form that you can fill out, and send back to Erin. She will add your child to our list and send you a package with everything you will need to know.

From Hwy 401, take Hwy 25 south to Steeles Avenue, head west on Steeles to Appleby Line, drive south on Appleby Line for 3 km
From Q.E.W, take Appleby Line north; 1 km north of Derry Road on top of the escarpment
